Kristin Nesbitt, M.D., F.A.C.S., is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and specializes in Hand and Upper Extremity Disorders.  Dr. Nesbitt is a firm believer in conservative care and makes use of physical therapy as a first step.

  When surgery is required, for most procedures she utilizes minimally invasive techniques that lead to an easier, faster recovery with an earlier return to work and activities.

Dr. Scott Andochick

PLASTIC SURGERY

Dr. Andochick is a Stanford-trained, board-certified plastic surgeon who has been practicing in Frederick, MD for nearly 25 years.  He built and founded The Andochick Center for Cosmetic Surgery, and PSCF Ambulatory Surgical Center complex on Thomas Johnson Drive in 2002.

He built the Center and obtained 2 state approved operating rooms (only 20% of surgery centers in MD have 2 or more operating rooms).  The Center has now become a center of excellence for orthopaedic, ophthalmology, and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Andochick specializes in cosmetic surgery and breast reconstruction for breast cancer patients.

Dr. Andochick is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Sunil Thadani

OPHTHALMOLOGY

Dr. Thadani obtained his Medical Degree from the George Washington University's School of Medicine and Health Sciences.  He received his Masters Degree in Public Health at the Yale University School of Medicine.  Dr. Thadani is also a board certified ophthalmologist and completed fellowships at the Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston and the New England Eye Center in Boston.   There he specialized in eye surgery and corneal disorders.  He served as Chief Resident at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C.

Dr. Adam Mecinski

PLASTIC SURGERY

Dr. Mecinski graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine and performed a fellowship at University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital.  He is a skilled plastic surgeon who specializes in breast surgery, general reconstruction, skin cancer removal, wound care, and hand surgery.

Dr. Mecinski is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Matthew J. Levine, M.D., is a board certified Orthopedic physician specializing in sports medicine at the Mid-Maryland Musculoskeletal Institute (MMI) division in Frederick and Urbana, Maryland and possesses a wide-range of industry experience. In addition to his academic and professional endeavors nationally and abroad he provides patients with in-office care within the Frederick Community. He serves as a Team Physician for Tuscarora High School, has assisted on medical staff teams for The Penn Relays and World Figure Skating Championships. As an athlete himself, Dr. Levine understands the importance of helping his patients maintain their active lives. He provides a diverse range of procedures with specialties in Shoulder Surgery and Sports Medicine including, but are not limited to the following:

Korboi N. Evans, MD, MS, FAAOS, is an industrious and caring board-certified Orthopaedic surgeon and joint replacement specialist. Dr. Evans provides personalized Orthopaedic care at the Greater Washington Orthopaedic Group, with three locations in Silver Spring, Germantown, and Rockville, Maryland. He specializes in sports medicine, robotic joint replacement, joint preservation surgery of the hip, knee, and shoulder, minimally invasive anterior hip replacement, and arthroscopic treatment of knee and shoulder injuries.

Dr. Evans received his undergraduate degree from the University of Akron in Ohio and completed his master’s degree and his medical degree at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 2005. He completed his medical residency in 2011 at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington and in 2017, he received a fellowship from the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopaedics in Maryland, where he underwent advanced training in joint replacement surgery.

Dr. Evans has significant experience as an orthopaedic surgeon in both civilian and military settings. He deployed to Afghanistan where he served as commander of a forward surgical team and a combat support hospital.

At the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Dr. Evans was closely involved in caring for wounded warriors returning from Afghanistan and Iraq — a unique experience that enhanced his medical practice and solidified his commitment to providing compassionate and comprehensive orthopaedic care. He is a proud advocate for veterans and military families.

Recognized for his hard work and contributions to the medical field, Dr. Evans has won several honors and awards. He has served as an assistant professor of surgery at the Uniformed Services University and published a number of valuable scientific articles related to the management of musculoskeletal conditions and the medical care of those injured in combat.

Dr. Evans is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Evans has extensive experience providing direct anterior hip replacements, robotic hip and knee replacements, platelet-rich plasma therapy, and more. He is highly adept in minimally invasive, muscle sparing anterior hip replacement to promote a faster and smoother recovery.

Dr. Evans incorporates the latest state-of-the-art technology in the form of robotics, computer navigation, and patient-specific instruments to ensure superior accuracy and results. For Dr. Evans, the patient always comes first.

Gabriel L. Petruccelli is an accomplished board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopy, sports medicine, shoulder replacements and general orthopaedics. Dr. Petruccelli joined  Greater Washington Orthopaedic Group, PA in 2012, with three locations: Rockville, Silver Spring and  GermanTown, Maryland.

Dr. Petruccelli is a Maryland native, who graduated from The Heights School in Potomac, where he played basketball and soccer.

Dr. Petruccelli graduated from the George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science before receiving a certificate in Physiology at the Virginia Commonwealth University. He completed his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados in 2006 before relocating to New York City to complete his Internship and Orthopaedic residency at New York Medical College-St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center/ Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in 2011.

In 2012, Dr. Petruccelli relocated to the west coast to complete his fellowship with the San Diego Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship. There he honed and specialized his skills within the field of sports medicine and open shoulder surgery.  Also, during his time there, he worked closely with Major League Baseball’s San Diego Padres. He also assisted the team physician for the San Diego State Aztecs. Given the opportunity to research, he published surgical technique videos for national orthopaedic society meetings that year.

Dr. Petruccelli has received the Top Doctors Washingtonian Magazine Award in 2017, 2018 & 2019. Since 2016, he has been the Section Chief of the Department of Orthopaedics at Adventist Healthcare Shady Grove Medical Center.

Dr. Petruccelli supports the athletic programs as the team physician at Georgetown Preparatory School and supporting his high school alma mater, The Heights School. He also gives valuable educational talks throughout the community.

Dr. Petruccelli’s main focus is to help each individual get back to their normal daily life and activities as soon as possible with top quality and very personalized orthopaedic care. He takes great pride in listening to his patients and understanding their needs. He works closely with his carefully selected physical therapists to ensure a safe and quick rehabilitation protocol and recovery.

Outside of the medical office, Dr. Petruccelli values spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoys, exercise, music, travel and cutting hair.

Dr. Petruccelli is a member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, AO Trauma, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.

 

Samuel Sanders, MD, FAAOS, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon at Greater Washington Orthopaedic Group, PA, in Silver Spring, GermanTown, and Rockville, Maryland. As a Maryland native, Dr. Sanders finds it important to serve athletes and others in his community with compassionate care and understanding.

Dr. Sanders has an extensive educational background. After graduating as valedictorian from Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland, he attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia for his undergraduate degree in the biological basis of behavior. Then, he moved to Washington, D.C., to attend medical school at The George Washington University School of Medicine.

After medical school, Dr. Sanders completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the prestigious Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City. During his time there, he had the unique opportunity to receive extensive training in trauma care and fractures at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. After his residency, Dr. Sanders completed a fellowship in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine at the University of Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. There, he provided orthopaedic care to the Buffalo Sabres hockey team and the athletes at Buffalo State College.

At Greater Washington Orthopaedic Group, Dr. Sanders frequently treats fractures and muscle and tendon injuries. He also provides joint injections and reconstructive surgeries and guides patients through physical therapy until they reach optimal mobility and health.

When he’s not in the office performing surgeries and joint-preserving treatments, Dr. Sanders provides care to athletes at high schools in his area. He’s been interviewed on programs such as ESPN 980 and NBC 4 News regarding sports-related injuries and their treatment and care.
